The first appointment is 45mins and will involve taking a case history (it may be worth bringing any results of scans, tests etc) and then usually a physical examination to help reach a diagnosis. You may be asked to undress to underwear to help do these tests properly. If anything of particular concern is picked up, this may involve a referral to your GP or to a specialist. Otherwise, after discussing the findings, a treatment plan will be suggested. Usually, there will be time for treatment within this first session.

Osteopathy aims to correct the underlying imbalances in the body that are responsible for the presenting symptoms. Treatment will vary widely between patients but may involve massage, stretching, mobilizing joints, posture and exercise. It is commonly used on back and neck pain, arm/leg and pelvis problems, sports and other injuries but may be helpful in many other conditions.

Naturopathy aids the healing process by incorporating a variety of alternative methods based on the patient’s individual needs. Diet, lifestyle, work, and personal history are all considered when determining a treatment regimen. Food intolerance tests are now available if requested.
